29:6
وَمَن جَـٰهَدَ فَإِنَّمَا يُجَـٰهِدُ لِنَفْسِهِۦٓ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَغَنِىٌّ عَنِ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
waman jāhada fa-innamā yujāhidu linafsihi inna l-laha laghaniyyun ʿani l-ʿālamīna
Those who exert themselves do so for their own benefit––God does not need His creatures––
And whosoever strives, he strives only for himself. Verily, Allâh stands not in need of any of the ‘Âlamîn (mankind, jinn, and all that exists).
