وَلَقَدْ ضَلَّ قَبْلَهُمْ أَكْثَرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
walaqad ḍalla qablahum aktharu l-awalīna
most men in the past went astray,
And indeed most of the men of old went astray before them;
