إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَبْلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُتْرَفِينَ
innahum kānū qabla dhālika mut'rafīna
Indeed they were, before that, indulging in affluence,
— Saheeh International
Before, they overindulged in luxury
