بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

الفاتحة
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
مَـٰلِكِ يَوْمِ ٱلدِّينِ
إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ
ٱهْدِنَا ٱلصِّرَٰطَ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمَ
صِرَٰطَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ ٱلْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا ٱلضَّآلِّينَ
Al-Fatihah opens the Quran with praise of Allah and a direct plea for guidance to the straight path. Its seven verses form the core supplication of a Muslim's life and summarize the relationship between servant and Lord: praise, worship, and the request for guidance.
Al-Fatihah (الفاتحة) means "The Opening" in English. It is chapter 1 of the Holy Quran.
Surah Al-Fatihah has 7 verses (ayat). It appears on pages 1 to 1 of the mushaf.
Surah Al-Fatihah is a Makki surah, revealed in Makkah before the Prophet's ﷺ migration to Madinah.
