إِنَّآ أَنزَلْنَـٰهُ فِى لَيْلَةِ ٱلْقَدْرِ

القدر
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
إِنَّآ أَنزَلْنَـٰهُ فِى لَيْلَةِ ٱلْقَدْرِ
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا لَيْلَةُ ٱلْقَدْرِ
لَيْلَةُ ٱلْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ
تَنَزَّلُ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ وَٱلرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمْرٍ
سَلَـٰمٌ هِىَ حَتَّىٰ مَطْلَعِ ٱلْفَجْرِ
Al-Qadr announces the revelation of the Quran on Laylatul Qadr, the Night of Decree — a night better than a thousand months, in which the angels and the Spirit descend by their Lord's permission with every matter, and which is peace until the emergence of dawn. Muslims seek this night in the last ten nights of Ramadan, especially the odd ones.
Al-Qadr (القدر) means "The Decree" in English. It is chapter 97 of the Holy Quran.
Surah Al-Qadr has 5 verses (ayat). It appears on pages 598 to 598 of the mushaf.
Surah Al-Qadr is a Madani surah, revealed in Madinah after the Prophet's ﷺ migration.

The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Whoever stands in prayer on Laylatul Qadr out of faith and seeking reward, his previous sins will be forgiven' (Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim).
