Near (this/these):

  • هَـٰذَا (hādhā) - this (masculine)
  • هَـٰذِهِ (hādhihi) - this (feminine)
  • هَـٰؤُلَاءِ (hā'ulā'i) - these (plural)
  • Far (that/those):

  • ذَٰلِكَ (dhālika) - that (masculine)
  • تِلْكَ (tilka) - that (feminine)

  • Quranic Examples

    ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبُ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ

    2:2
