سَبِّحِ ٱسْمَ رَبِّكَ ٱلْأَعْلَى

الأعلى
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
سَبِّحِ ٱسْمَ رَبِّكَ ٱلْأَعْلَى
ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ
وَٱلَّذِى قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ
وَٱلَّذِىٓ أَخْرَجَ ٱلْمَرْعَىٰ
فَجَعَلَهُۥ غُثَآءً أَحْوَىٰ
سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنسَىٰٓ
إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ يَعْلَمُ ٱلْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ
وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ
فَذَكِّرْ إِن نَّفَعَتِ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ
سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخْشَىٰ
وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا ٱلْأَشْقَى
ٱلَّذِى يَصْلَى ٱلنَّارَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ
ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ
قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ
وَذَكَرَ ٱسْمَ رَبِّهِۦ فَصَلَّىٰ
بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا
وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰٓ
إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَفِى ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلْأُولَىٰ
صُحُفِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ
Al-A'la commands: exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High, who created and proportioned, destined and guided. It reassures the Prophet ﷺ that he will be made to recite and not forget, and declares that the successful is the one who purifies himself, remembers his Lord, and prays — while people prefer the fleeting life.
Al-A'la (الأعلى) means "The Most High" in English. It is chapter 87 of the Holy Quran.
Surah Al-A'la has 19 verses (ayat). It appears on pages 591 to 592 of the mushaf.
Surah Al-A'la is a Madani surah, revealed in Madinah after the Prophet's ﷺ migration.
