إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنفَطَرَتْ

الإنفطار
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنفَطَرَتْ
وَإِذَا ٱلْكَوَاكِبُ ٱنتَثَرَتْ
وَإِذَا ٱلْبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتْ
وَإِذَا ٱلْقُبُورُ بُعْثِرَتْ
عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ وَأَخَّرَتْ
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ ٱلْكَرِيمِ
ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّىٰكَ فَعَدَلَكَ
فِىٓ أَىِّ صُورَةٍ مَّا شَآءَ رَكَّبَكَ
كَلَّا بَلْ تُكَذِّبُونَ بِٱلدِّينِ
وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ لَحَـٰفِظِينَ
كِرَامًا كَـٰتِبِينَ
يَعْلَمُونَ مَا تَفْعَلُونَ
إِنَّ ٱلْأَبْرَارَ لَفِى نَعِيمٍ
وَإِنَّ ٱلْفُجَّارَ لَفِى جَحِيمٍ
يَصْلَوْنَهَا يَوْمَ ٱلدِّينِ
وَمَا هُمْ عَنْهَا بِغَآئِبِينَ
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ
ثُمَّ مَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ
يَوْمَ لَا تَمْلِكُ نَفْسٌ لِّنَفْسٍ شَيْـًٔا ۖ وَٱلْأَمْرُ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلَّهِ
Al-Infitar opens with the sky cleaving apart and the graves overturned, then addresses man directly: 'O man, what has deceived you concerning your generous Lord, who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you?' Over every person stand noble recording angels who know whatever you do.
Al-Infitar (الإنفطار) means "The Cleaving" in English. It is chapter 82 of the Holy Quran.
Surah Al-Infitar has 19 verses (ayat). It appears on pages 587 to 587 of the mushaf.
Surah Al-Infitar is a Madani surah, revealed in Madinah after the Prophet's ﷺ migration.
