About Surah Al-Haqqah (الحاقة)

Al-Haqqah names the Day of Judgment 'the Reality' and recalls how Thamud, 'Ad, and Pharaoh denied it and were seized. It then stages the Day itself: the trumpet, the sky split open, and every person given a book — the joyous cry of the one who receives it in his right hand, and the despair of the one who receives it in his left.
